The Course:

This is not a flat and fast road race. That’s why it is a 12K, no stress about PR’s. Instead, this is a race that will test your strength, stamina, and endurance with several major hills to contend with.

Runners will be shuttled from the finish line near Red Robin Restraunt to the start line at the Matrot Castle on Huntoon.

Runners will head out on a course that will take them past the Kansas Museum of History, Cedar Crest, and the old Menninger Clock Tower, culminating with a fast finish down the Northern end of Wanamaker and back to Red Robin Restraunt.

The course is 95% paved with one short section of gravel road through Cedar Crest. The 5K run/walk will provide its own challenges on a slightly tamer course.

Water stations will be provided at approximately 2 miles and 5 miles into the race. Due to insurance regulations no unofficial bicycles, headsets, roller blades, skates, pets, baby joggers, or any unregistered runners will be allowed on the race courses.

Remember this is Kansas and this is May, odds are it will be warm. Dress appropriately and stay hydrated.

5:00pm - 6:30pm = Registration and packet pickup for Saucony/Red Robin Kids Fun Run at Kansas Museum of History

6:45pm = Saucony/Red Robin 1/4 mile Fun Run begins on the trails of the Kansas Museum of History

7:00pm = Saucony/Red Robin 1/2 mile Fun Run begins

7:15pm = Saucony/Red Robin 1 mile Fun Run begins

6:00am - 7:30am - Late registration/packet pickup for Springburn 12K/5K outside Red Robin.

7:15am - 7:45am = Buses begin to shuttle runners/walkers to the start at Matrot Castle and Vineyards

8:00am = Start time for Springburn 12K and 5K

9:00am - 10:30am = Post race breakfast at Red Robin.

9:45am = Awards ceremony begins at Red Robin

10:00am = Course closes
